Tony O’Regan
Tony is a fully qualified personal trainer with a diploma in health and fitness the University of Limerick. He is also Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) qualified fitness instructor and assistant PGA Professional at Carton House golf club.
The Titleist Performance Institute is the world’s foremost authority on fitness for golf based in California. With clients such as Padraig Harrington, Camillo Villegas, Adam Scott ans Rory McIlroy.
Tony started as an aspiring golfer and went to work as an assistant professional at the Curragh Golf club. After a short spell Tony turned his attention to his other passion, fitness.
During the summers Tony worked caddying including time with Robert Rock and Jarmo Sandelin on the European Tour. Inspired by the fitness regimes of the tour players, he sought out to bring this new section of golf improvement to the golfing public, becoming one of the first TPI instructors in the country.
Tony works as the head fitness instructor for the Paddy Harrington golf scholarship programme. He brings great motivation and enthusiasm to his training classes and designs individual TPI programmes for scholarship players. Tony believes health and fitness is a big part of golf improvement and that your body is the number one piece of equipment.
Tony works with scholarship players to increase and maximise their power output, once a good foundation of strength is achieved he helps players introduce speed to the movement pattern.
